About the creators
Gwen Pascoe
Gwen grew up in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria and this background left her with an abiding love of nature. She studied Horticulture before becoming a successful author of children’s books and is now studying for an Arts Degree. When she is not writing she is looking after her new grandchild, bush walking or white-water rafting.
Veronica Jefferis
Veronica has travelled extensively and had many exhibitions of her art. Her latest works have all been executed in coloured pencil. The illustrations for Deep in a Rainforest are water-colour on illustration board. Veronica now lives in the Adelaide Hills, with her husband, two children and a small menagerie of animals.
